Halloween!

Nightmare Ni-ahem, I mean Halloween is almost upon us. One week from now to be exact. In the meantime I suggest you all do three things. One, be sure to watch Luna Eclipsed as many times as humanly possible, two, check out the Grimdark section and read yourself something macabre (as long as it's not Cupcakes, trust me on this one). You can even try your hoof at writing something to fall under the Grimdark header, if you're up to the challenge. Lastly, enjoy the new midnight background on Pony Draft, as it will be here for this week only. This has been a Pony Draft PSA: Happy Halloween!

A Call to Action

The brony community is amazing. It really is. It takes a really special show and some really special fans to make something as awesome as bronies. A website like Pony Draft would never work without the support of it's followers, and bronies are pretty amazing followers.

We've proved that this site can work. We've received great submissions, those submissions have been reviewed, and some have been posted to Equestria Daily! This site could be an incredibly helpful tool to countless numbers of brony fanfic writers around the world. There's one problem, though: they haven't heard of it.

That's where you, fellow bronies, come in. For those of you who know this site, spread the word any way you can! If you know anypony who could benefit from this site, let them know about it. The more people know about the site, the better it is. And when someone submits a story here, help a brony out and review it! You have no idea how much help you could provide with one comment.

This is a call to action. For them. For us. For Equestria!

The title on this one might be a bit self explanatory. For one, Pony Draft hit 2,000 pageviews today. Next stop: 2,000,000! But that's not the milestone I want to put in the spotlight. 

Since the start of Pony Draft, three great submissions have been edited here and posted to Equestria Daily. All three of these stories are incredible, and I'm honored to have such talented authors submitting here. The works and authors are listed here, in chronological order for your perusal.

Ten Posts

Since the first site update I gave almost exactly a week ago, quite a bit has changed at Pony Draft. We've reached some major milestones along the way. Which brings us to the title of the post. Pony Draft has now reached ten fanfic posts! This is a very exciting milestone, because if you'll remember, when the 24 Hour Update was posted, that number was zero. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to everypony who submitted their works of fanfic for review.

Which transitions into the next big statistic: we have 55 comments. This is great, because the site will only work if everypony edits each other's work, which I'm proud to report, is happening quite a lot. Great work, bronies. If any community is open minded, it's you guys, and that's why I think the site has been successful so far. I would also like to thank all those who read the fan fiction of others and provided their feedback.

I would also like to give a huge shoutout to Silent Rainboom, for writing Ghost in the Window, which is the first submission to Pony Draft to make it onto Equestria Daily! Congratulations, Silent Rainboom, and hopefully your great success is the first of many.

And last but not least, Pony Draft has an extra pair of hooves to help out with the site. If you didn't catch his intro post, Master Shake is now part of the team, as an editor for Pony Draft. He has roles similar to that of a site moderator. He will read the submissions and provide his feedback, and from what I've seen so far, he has very good feedback to give. He will also answer questions or help with anything else that needs helping. He is also a great writer, and everypony should check out his submission on Pony Draft, which was the first: Doctor Whoof and the Source. It's really shaping up to be a great story.

Hello. My Name is 'Master Shake'.

Hello there, Pony Draft, like the title says, I'm Master Shake. You however may simply call 'Shake', no need for 'Master' part...unless you're feeling really generous.

Who am I? I'm your new EDITOR. I'm here to give critiques on your Fics, answer questions you may have, and overall just fill in the gap when Enigma ins't here. Think of it this way, Enigma is Batman and I'm his Robin. He'll do majority of the posting and I'm here to help out. Overall I'm a down to earth guy, same as most of you. I give fair reviews and helpful pointers to the stories that you guys post and I'm pretty much always open for a conversation if you want to share your ideas with someone.

24 Hour Update

I was a little surprised as to the number of pageviews when this blog launched. I wasn't expecting very many, but in this first day, roughly 24 hours after the launch post, Pony Draft has gotten over 200 page views, 2 followers (1 of them is me, though), and a few comments. The thing we need most though is submissions. The site will only be able to serve it's true purpose once somepony sends in their story. After that, who knows just what will happen?

As I say in the Submit section, I will definitely look over all the fanfic and provide my own edits and suggestions, and I will also submit my own. For a little sneak peek, I am currently in the embryonic stages of several works of my own MLP fanfiction, and have actually started the writing on one. Hint: it stars the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Be on the lookout for that one when I post it here. I'm currently crossing my fingers for Sethisto to include Pony Draft on tonight's Nightly Roundup on EqD.

Hello Equestria!

Well, here it is. Pony Draft: a site for bronies far and wide to offer their critiques to the writers of MLP fanfic and their unfinished stories. To save you the trouble of clicking another link, I'll just copy and paste some text from the "About" section so you can get acquainted with the site. Enjoy.

"Welcome, fillies, gentlecolts, and bronies everywhere to Pony Draft, the website where fans of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic can share their awesome works of fan fiction before they are complete. These fan fic "drafts" are then open to praise, proofreading, and constructive criticism to help improve both the story, as well as the writer's skills.

Once the writer has received this feedback and proofreading and subsequently improved upon their story, I recommend sending them to Equestria Daily, which does state "As always, please proofread/have somepony proofread it for you before sending it." or else Sethisto and his pre readers will more often then not "send it to the moon," so to speak.

So go ahead and send in your incomplete or unedited pony related fan fic/fan fic chapters, and get some feedback before calling it a finished product. It truly is amazing how many things can be spotted and improved just by having somepony (hopefully many) look it over. For submission guidelines, check out the "Submit" page."

I have no idea whether this site will receive zero submissions or if it will get hundreds. It's all in a matter of time, I guess. Be assured that I will be reading over and reviewing any submissions you guys may make, so you will be guaranteed at least somepony's feedback. I'll also submit some of my own fanfic once they near completion as well. So until then, keep writing bronies, and be sure to tell me what you think and give suggestions in this post's comments.
